The acid found in the sour cream and the lemon will prevent it from browning too soon so you can make it as much as three days ahead. Serve alongside seafood and vegetables for dipping, like in our recipe for Grilled-Shrimp Grand Aioli. Ingredients 1 large avocado, halved, pitted, and peeled ⅓ cup sour cream 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper Directions Combine avocado, sour cream, lemon juice, oil, and 2 tablespoons water in a food processor or blender; purée until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Refrigerate in an airtight container until ready to serve, or up to 3 days. Originally appeared: Martha Stewart Living, June 2022 Rate It PRINT
