What could be more American than apple pie? It might be the s’more, that magical combination of campfire-roasted marshmallows and melty chocolate sandwiched between graham crackers. As soon as you've finished the first one, you will be ready for another one before you know it. You might ask: "Can I have s'more, please?"

But you don't have to limit yourself to just the classic. While nothing can really hold a candle to the original s’more, here are a few variations we approve of:

  • You could use Biscoff cookies instead of the graham crackers. They’ve got a hint of cinnamon and a great crunch.
  • Chocolate-covered graham crackers are cookie and chocolate rolled into one—you could add a square of chocolate on top for double the fun.
  • How about adding a schmear of peanut butter, almond butter, or Nutella to a graham cracker before putting the marshmallow on top?

And for those times when you don't have a campfire? Ahead, we’ve got recipes that riff on this favorite summer treat and turn it into a s’more cupcake or s'mousse. We’ve got other bases for you, such as pecan- and coconut-filled cookies and a homemade graham cracker. We can even teach you how to make your own marshmallows. Any way you celebrate, use s'mores for inspiration and make s'more memories with the ones you love.
