Editorial Guidelines Published on April 5, 2024 Close Photo: Candice Bell/ Getty Images Approximately 51,750 electric vegetable choppers have been recalled due to reports that the blade can operate unexpectedly, posing a laceration hazard to consumers, according to a release by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall affects Mainstays Electric Mini Choppers with model number MS14100094536S1, which is printed on the bottom of the product. The choppers are rechargeable and cordless and have a green lid, white body, and clear plastic bowl. Consumer Product Safety Commission So far, there have been five reports of lacerations from using the recalled product. Two of these reports have required medical attention, including stitches. The injuries occurred during assembly of the chopper or when consumers were cleaning or handling the product. The choppers were sold at Walmart from August 2023 through October 2023 for between $10 and $15.
